The service
DIY WiFi provides WiFi deployment design and equipment recommendations based on the plans and information supplied by the customer. The standard $50 NZD service is intended for one typical residential or small-business site.
What is not included
The service does not include physical installation, electrical work, structured cabling, building consent advice, managed IT services, ongoing network support or a guarantee of perfect wireless coverage.
Project scope
Very large, unusual or complex projects—such as large hotels, warehouses, schools or multi-building sites—may require additional design work. If this applies, DIY WiFi will contact the customer before proceeding. No additional amount will be charged automatically.
Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate project information and plans that are reasonably suitable for review.
- Confirm authority to upload and use the supplied building plans.
- Have electrical and cabling work completed by appropriately qualified people where required.
- Confirm equipment compatibility, availability and regulatory requirements before purchase or installation.
Turnaround and revisions
The typical turnaround displayed on the site is an estimate, not a guaranteed deadline. One reasonable revision is included. A reasonable revision may clarify recommendations or account for a modest layout or access point adjustment; it does not include an unlimited redesign or a materially different project.
Payment
Payment is made through Stripe Checkout in New Zealand dollars. A browser redirect is not treated as proof of payment; successful payment is confirmed by Stripe’s verified webhook notification.
Recommendations
Recommendations are based on the information available at design time and real-world deployment experience. Building materials, interference, device capability, installation quality, internet service and later site changes can affect actual performance.
Intellectual property
The customer may use the completed design for the project it was prepared for and may provide it to people involved in that project. DIY WiFi retains ownership of its report formats, methods and general design materials.
Liability
Any final limitation of liability wording must be reviewed before launch and must not restrict rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand consumer law.
